Nissan recalls 3,569 Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX80 vehicles over faulty rear-view camera

Nissan North America is recalling 3,569 model year 2021 Infiniti Q50, Q60 and QX80 cars.

The automobile manufacturer stated that a software error may deactivate the audio/video control unit screen, preventing the rear-view image from displaying.

A rear-view camera that does not display an image reduces the driver’s rear view, increasing the risk of a crash, said the company.

As regards what to do in correcting the error, Nissan said that dealers would update the control unit software free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 14, 2021.
