Land Rover is recalling 603 model year 2021 Defender vehicles with manually-adjustable front seats.

The automobile manufacturer said that the front seat track end-stop bracket may become deformed, which could prevent the seat from locking into place.

According to Land Rover, a seat that is not properly locked into place can move unintentionally in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

In regard to what to do in rectifying the error, the company noted that dealers would replace the front seat tracks free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 27, 2021.

Affected vehicle owners may contact Land Rover Customer Service on (800) 637-6837. Land Rover’s number for this recall is N609.
