Porsche recalls 194 various model vehicles for incorrect passenger seat (Full List)

*The automaker says an incorrect passenger seat installed may cause an Occupant Classification System (OCS) malfunction

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 149 of the following model year 2021 vehicles:

  1. 911 Turbo Coupe,
  2. 911 Turbo S Coupe,
  3. 911 Carrera 4S Targa,
  4. 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet,
  5. 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, and
  6. 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

An incorrect passenger seat was installed, and may cause an Occupant Classification System (OCS) malfunction.

An OCS malfunction may affect the front passenger airbag, increasing the risk of injury.

In regard to what to do in correcting the defect, Porsche Cars said the dealers would install the correct seat free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 20, 2021, it stated.

Meanwhile, affected owners may contact Porsche Customer Service on (800) 767-7243. Porsche’s number for this recall is AMB3.
