A recent study of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths in the United Kingdom (UK) found that nearly half of the fatalities had been fully vaccinated.

But a closer look at the data provides some reassurances about the effectiveness of the vaccines currently in use, agency report noted.

It was gathered for starters, the vaccines are not 100 percent effective. They are about 95 percent effective against the original COVID-19 strain, and about 70 percent effective against the variants, including the fast-ravaging Delta variant of the pandemic.

According to scientists, deaths are generally occurring among the most vulnerable population.
