ADITOP commends NNPC for strides in downstream sector

Delighted at the achievements of the state oil firm, a group of petroleum tanker-owners under the auspices of the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) has commended the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for its unrelenting efforts at bringing sanity into the downstream sector of the oil industry in the country.

Dr. Kennie Obateru, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, in a statement Friday, April 23 in Abuja, FCT, said Alhaji Lawal Mohammed, National President of ADITOP, during a visit to the NNPC Towers expressed delight at the accomplishments of the Corporation under the leadership of Malam Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director (GMD) of NNPC, especially in the area of stakeholder engagement.

Mohammed said: “This singular action of meeting with us defines you as a leader with limitless leadership humility and untiring capacity for encouraging the concept of stakeholder management and eagerness to carry us along in every public policy engagements of the NNPC concerning the oil and gas value chain.”

The ADITOP National President pledged the Association’s support for the NNPC.

He stated that they are ready to place their trucks and retail outlets at the disposal of the Corporation for any pilot programme and investment initiative.

The statement noted Malam Kyari, while welcoming the ADITOP leadership to the NNPC Towers, also assured of working with the petroleum products distributors to sustain the prevailing sanity in the downstream sector of the country’s economy.
