Land Rover recalls 250 Range Rover Evoque cars over faulty airbag

Emmanuel Akosile | ConsumerConnect

Land Rover is recalling 250 model year 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles.

The automobile manufacturer stated that the cushion cover on the left-side lower knee airbag may come loose, which could result in the cushion unfolding from the airbag module housing.

An unfolded knee airbag may not offer the driver full protection in a crash, increasing the risk of injury, the company said.

In connection with what to do in correcting the error, Land Rover will notify affected owners, and dealers will replace the left-side lower knee airbag module, free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin May 7, 2021.

Meanwhile, owners may contact Land Rover Customer Service on (800) 637-6837, and Land Rover’s number for this recall is N566.
