Ford recalls 1,258 Mustang Mach-E vehicles for loose subframe bolts

Ford Motor Company is recalling 1,258 model year 2021 Mustang Mach-E cars.

The company said the front subframe bolts may not have been tightened properly during assembly, which could result in loose bolts, ConsumerAffairs report noted.

Loose subframe bolts may reduce the vehicle’s performance in a crash, increasing the risk of injury, it stated.

In regard to what to do to correct the error, Ford would notify affected owners, and dealers would inspect the front subframe bolts and tighten them, as necessary, free of charge.

The current recall was expected to begin Monday, March 22, 2021.

Owners may contact Ford Customer Service on (866) 436-7332, and Ford’s number for this recall is 21S09.
