Mercedes-Benz recalls 7 CLA45 AMG cars due to incorrect spark plugs

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling seven model year 2020 CLA45 AMG vehicles with 4-cylinder gasoline engines.

The leading automobile manufacturer said the incorrect spark plugs may have been installed, which could come apart over time and cause engine damage in the vehicles.

Engine damage may result in a stall, increasing the risk of a crash, it stated.

In connection with what to do in correcting the error, MBUSA will notify affected owners, and dealers will replace the spark plugs free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin April 27, 2021.
