Tinubu embarks on 3-state visits, to spend holidays in Lagos

*President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the weekend, departs Abuja to visit Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Saturday, December 20, 2025, has departed Abuja, FCT, to visit Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states.

While in Borno State, North-East Nigeria, President Tinubu will commission some projects executed by Governor (Prof.) Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government.

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, who released President Tinubu’s itinerary Friday, stated the President would also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of the former Governor of the State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his heartthrob, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, President Tinubu will visit Bauchi to condole with the Bauchi State Government, and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood.

It is recalled that Sheikh Bauchi died November 27, 2025.

The statement also noted that after the condolence visit in Bauchi State, President Tinubu would leave for Lagos, where he is expected to spend the upcoming end-of-year holidays.

Besides, the Nigerian leader will be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival, scheduled for December 27, among his numerous engagements while in Lagos.

The festival at Tafawa Balewa Square will honour prominent figures, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, and former Governors, including late Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola, stated Onanuga.
