Sequel to recent reforms in the country’s immigration procedure, the United States (US) Government has restated that visa application fees remain non-refundable and non-transferable for Nigerian travellers.

The US Mission in Nigeria, which noted this in a statement, acknowledged concerns and frustrations raised by several individuals regarding the current US visa application fees.

The US, however, stated that the fees are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of the outcome of such visa applications.

“Like most countries, U.S. visa fees cover the cost of processing the application, regardless of the outcome.”
