Economy: NPA affirms 27 vessels arrive Lagos Ports with petroleum products, food items

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has disclosed 27 vessels are expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tin Can Island Ports between September 7 and September 20, 2026, in Lagos.

The NPA disclosed this development Monday, September 7, 2026, in its Daily Shipping Position made available to reporters.

The Authority also said 10 of the expected vessels would arrive with containers carrying various goods, while the others would carry crude oil, aviation fuel, general cargo, bulk gypsum, sugar and salt.

In a related development, the Authority said seven ships and tanker vessels had arrived at the three ports, and were waiting to berth.

The vessels are expected to berth with bulk urea, petrol and diesel, the regulatory authority noted.

The NPA further said 20 vessels were currently discharging various commodities at the three ports in the state.

The Nigerian ports regulatory body also listed the commodities as bulk wheat, containers, fresh fish, general cargo, bulk fertiliser, pallets, bulk urea, bulk gas and petrol.
