Access Bank hosts German President Steinmeier, restates commitment to building partnerships

The top echelon of the Management of Access Bank Plc Thursday, December 12, 2024, played host to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the bank’s corporate Head Office, in Lagos, Nigeria.

ConsumerConnect reports Access Bank noted the visit to its Lagos by German President Steinmeier, who had earlier visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the State House, Abuja, FCT, was in the country on an official visit.

According to one of the leading Nigerian commercial banks, Access Bank emphasised Steinmeier’s visitation also highlighted the crucial role that the banking group plays in promoting trade relations between businesses in both regions supported by longstanding contributions of the bank’s German desk.

The bank, in a blog note via its verified social media platform Thursday, stated: “We were honoured to host the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at our Head Office in Lagos.

“This visit highlights the pivotal role that Access Bank plays in advancing trade relations between businesses in both regions supported by longstanding contributions of the bank’s German desk.”

It further said for over six years, the Access Bank German Desk had been a cornerstone of these trade relations, supporting over 100 German and European clients across Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, South Africa, and beyond.

“At Access, we remain committed to building partnerships that strengthen global trade and catalyse sustainable economic growth across Africa,” the statement noted.
