NCC holds stakeholders’ forum on licensing framework for A2P services

As part of the Commission’s avowed commitment to ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has notified telecoms stakeholders that the Application-To-Person (A2P) Framework is published on its corporate Web site.

ConsumerConnect reports Mr. Reuben Muoka, Director of Public Affairs (DPA) at NCC, who disclosed this development in a recent public notice, said the concerned industry stakeholders could access the A2P Framework via the Commission’s corporate Web site at: www.ncc.gov.ng.

Muoka said the NCC also would hold a virtual stakeholders’ forum in connection with the Application-To-Person Framework Friday, December 20, 2024.

The telecoms sector regulatory Commission stated: “The Nigerian Communications Commission in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA), 2003 hereby notifies all its stakeholders that the Application-To-Person (A2P) Framework has been published on the Web site of the Commission and can be accessed at www.ncc.gov.ng.

“There shall also be a Stakeholders Forum in respect of the Framework, which will hold virtually on December 20th, 2024.”

The Director of Public Affairs of NCC averred: “The Nigerian Communications Commission remains committed to ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Nigerian Communications Act.”

The Commission, therefore, encouraged all interested stakeholders to submit their comments and contributions on the published A2P Framework on or before Thursday, December 19, 2024.
