Security: Tinubu commends Military for successful operations in North-West, assures of continued support

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has received with relief, the news of the Nigerian Military’s strings of successful operations against security threats in the North-West region of the country.

Tinubu asserted the success of the operations further gave  assurance that the security operatives are up to the task of ensuring the peace and security in the West African country.

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji Thursday, September 10, 2024, neutralised a wanted bandit leader, Halilu Sububu, who had been unleashing terror on citizens in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other parts of North-western Nigeria.

The troops also killed another terrorist, named Sani Wala Burki, in a Joint Operation in Katsina, and  busted a terrorist enclave in Kaduna, where 13 kidnapped students were freed.

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, who related these in a statement issued at the weekend, said the Federal Government noted the successful operations followed the President’s directive to the Security Service Chiefs to relocate to the zone until normalcy is restored.

The statement noted President Tinubu applauded the military high command, the intelligence agencies, and the troops for their valiant efforts, synergy, and dedication, which have resulted in the recent laudable outcomes.

Onanuga also Tinubu lauded the entire security apparatus for the improved security in the country, enjoining them to sustain their efforts until immediate and latent threats are permanently removed.

The Nigerian leader reassured the security agencies of his continued support in achieving the priority objective of keeping the country safe and secure, stated the Presidential aide.
