The INEC declaration was sequel to collation of results from across the state, with Adeleke emerging with 511,067 votes ahead of his closest challengers, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji with 444,816 votes.

The gubernatorial election result has given Adeleke another mandate to govern Osun State for the next term of four years.

Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on his victory in the 2026 governorship election.

Tinubu reportedly made a phone call to Governor Adeleke on his victory even before final declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Imole Campaign Council Spokesperson, who also served as the Accord Party’s state agent, said President Tinubu sent the congratulatory message in a phone call to Adeleke, according to report.

Olajengbesi disclosed this while speaking with reporters at the INEC collation centre, in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
