The Centre for Media Connect (CMC) has honoured Mr. Azuh Arinze, Publisher of YES! International Magazine, with prestigious Media Excellence Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to journalism, publishing, media development, and literary excellence in Nigeria.
Ambassador Cornel Udofia, Founder of the Centre for Media Connect, presented the award to him, alongside members of the CMC Gladiators, during Arinze’s book signing session held at the weekend, at Roving Heights Bookstore, Surulere, in Lagos.

The event attracted an impressive gathering of media executives, veteran journalists, publishers, authors, entertainment personalities, literary enthusiasts, and distinguished guests from across Nigeria’s media and creative industries, all united in celebrating the remarkable achievements of one of the country’s most respected media professionals.
Presenting the award, Udofia described Arinze as an icon of excellence, professionalism, credibility, and consistency whose outstanding career has continued to inspire generations of journalists, media practitioners, writers, publishers, and young professionals.
He noted that the recognition reflects CMC’s commitment to identifying and celebrating individuals whose dedication, integrity, and excellence have significantly advanced the media profession and contributed meaningfully to national development.
Speaking at the award presentation, Arinze expressed profound appreciation to Udofia and the entire Centre for Media Connect for the honour. He described the recognition as both humbling and encouraging, reaffirming his commitment to promoting ethical journalism, quality publishing, mentorship, and excellence within the media industry.
Arinze as well urged young journalists and aspiring writers to remain disciplined, passionate, and committed to professionalism.
Among the notable personalities present at the event were the Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, Lady Ifeoma Ikechukwu, Chief Whip of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Chukwuma Erondu of AIT, Kingsley Praise of CMC TV, Kareem Taofeek of NTA, and Ochuko Akpososo of OV King Media, alongside other respected media practitioners and distinguished guests.
