NABTEB surpasses 100,000 registrations for admissions into Federal Technical Colleges

*The National Business and Technical Examinations Board discloses the record, historic admissions exercise has surpassed previous years’ applications for the first time in the history of the public examination body in Nigeria

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has recorded a historic milestone in candidate registrations for admissions into Federal Technical Colleges (FTCs) across Nigeria.

ConsumerConnect reports the Board of the institution disclosed the record admissions exercise has surpassed previous years’ applications for the first time in the history of the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) in Nigeria.

It is noted the achievement recorded a significant leap from previous admission cycle, and underscored the growing interest in technical and vocational education across the country.

According to the Board, the record-breaking figure was driven largely by the seamless, accessible, and efficient digital registration platform made available to candidates and guardians to register from anywhere in the world.

The Board also noted that the successful outcome reflected NABTEB’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance transparency, accessibility, and operational efficiency in the administration of admissions into Federal Technical Colleges.

It further explained that through the newly-deployed digital platform, prospective candidates could complete the registration process seamlessly from any location, eliminating many of the bottlenecks traditionally associated with manual application procedures.

The platform forms part of NABTEB’s broader drive to modernise examination and admission processes in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda for public institutions.

Under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Education Dr. Tunji Alausa and the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed the Board continues to implement innovative solutions that improve service delivery while promoting accountability, credibility, and inclusiveness.
