Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, Nigerian Ambassador to the United States (US), has been elected the Chairman, 5th Committee on Budget and Administration of the United Nations (UN), in New York.
Amb. Ibrahim, who disclosed this development Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in a statement, appreciated the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and entire Nigerians.
The Nigerian diplomat also stated: “It is, indeed, a honour for to be elected as the Chairman Budget and the Administration of the United Nations (UN) today 2nd June, 2026.
“Let me express my profound appreciations to the President Bola Ahmed GCFR.”
He said with nostalgia that “Mr. President, as your student in the reforms class, be assured that those teaching slides will reflect in the Budget, Appropriations and Human Resources of the United Nations.
“Let me thank the good people of Nigeria for this historic achievement.”
Amb. Ibrahim averred: “I assured my colleagues of 193-member states that at this challenging time in history.
“It my responsibility to provide strategy in a chaotic situation.”
