the death of Major-General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd.) in the kidnappers&#8217; den in Katsina State, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed expressed sadness over the development.<\/p>\n<p>General Abubakar died at the hands of terrorists after a distinguished career in the Nigerian Military, and subsequent retirement a few years ago.<\/p>\n<blockquote marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Late Abubakar and wife were on their way to his hometown, when the hoodlums captured him in the North-West state.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy at the weekend, stated President Tinubu commiserated with his family, especially his wife, who has also been released from captivity.<\/p>\n<p>The Nigerian leader also extended his condolences to the Katsina State Government and the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted that as the terrorists have done their worst, the terrorists should know that the Nigerian Government would never bow to their demand to release their members held by our security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu to Terrorists: Surrender or face Nigeria&#8217;s full force of the Nigerian State.<\/p>\n<p>The President recalled: &#8220;As I said on June 12, &#8216;bandits, kidnappers, and sponsors of terror should now surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian State.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These windows of surrender will not remain open forever.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And no mercy will be shown to those who trade in the blood of Nigerians.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu stated: \u201cAs Nigerians, we must stand united and be assured that the enemies of our nation shall soon be history.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will triumph over terror and continue to build a more prosperous nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>President Tinubu restated: \u201cGeneral Abubakar\u2019s death should further serve as a defining moment in our battle against terrorists and insurgents, never to negotiate with them on any terms, but to continue to treat them as the greatest enemies of our dear nation, who should never be
