visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cNCC urges manufacturers, dealers in SIM-enabled devices to comply with type approval requirements\u201d \u2014 Consumer Experience Is A Top Priority\" src=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=5437&amp;embed=true#?secret=kX3dvfVU9a#?secret=cfbpFodbLN\" data-secret=\"cfbpFodbLN\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, senior officials from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UK Home Office jointly chaired the annual UK-Nigeria Migration, Justice and Home Affairs Dialogue October 6 this year, in London.<\/p>\n<p>Onyinye Madu of the British High Commission Communications Office\/Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, in a statement Tuesday, October 20, in Abuja, FCT, said the talks translated commitments made during President Tinubu&#8217;s State Visit into &#8220;practical areas of cooperation that benefit Nigeria and the UK.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted these include tackling organised immigration crime and visa fraud, improving document verification and border management, supporting safe and dignified return and reintegration, and strengthening cooperation on extradition, asset recovery, prisoner transfer, cyber-enabled fraud and drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>The BHC in Nigeria also disclosed the West African country receives the 3rd highest volume of UK student visas globally, and the 5th highest volume of work visas.<\/p>\n<p>It stated this development has made cooperation to protect legitimate travel, and ensure those responsible for misusing the system are held to account especially important.<\/p>\n<p>The UK and Nigeria also agreed to support the development of Nigerian visa pathways for businesses looking to invest in Nigeria, delivering on a further State Visit commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the development, Ms. Vicky Seymour, British Deputy High Commissioner, said: \u201cThe UK-Nigeria partnership is delivering practical results on issues that matter to both our countries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Building on the momentum of President Tinubu\u2019s State Visit, we are turning political commitments into action that benefits citizens in both our countries, from tackling visa fraud and organised immigration crime to strengthening border security and supporting safe and dignified return and reintegration.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is simple: protect legitimate travellers, tackle those who abuse our systems and make both our countries safer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dunoma Umar Ahmed, Nigerian Permanent Secretary, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said: \u201cMigration remains one of the most important and visible aspects of the UK-Nigeria relationship.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This dialogue must both cover enforcement activities as well as ensuring meaningful opportunities for legal migration;
