II.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why salary increment, by HoS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Zamfara State Government, in the circular addressed to senior government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries and Heads of government Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs), Boards and Commissions, affirmed that the upward review of the health workers\u2019 emoluments was part of efforts at improving the important health sector in the North-West state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who gets what?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the new hazard allowance schedule, the state government disclosed the clinical health workers on Salary Grades one to five are entitled to \u20a615,200, while their non-clinical counterparts are listed at \u20a614,250.<\/p>\n<p>For Grades six to 12, the allowance stands at \u20a630,400 for clinical workers and \u20a628,500 for non-clinical workers across the state.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas workers in Grades 13 to 15 are listed to receive \u20a632,300 as clinical health workers and \u20a630,400 as non-clinical health workers.<\/p>\n<p>The Zamfara Government explained the upward review of the health workers\u2019 pay packets is intended to strengthen the health workforce, improve staff welfare, and create better working conditions for them.<\/p>\n<p>It said improved remuneration was expected to boost workers\u2019 morale and motivation while enhancing productivity and efficiency in healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The government, however, urged health workers to reciprocate the adjustment with greater commitment, professionalism, and dedication to their duties.<\/p>\n<p>The Zamfara State Government equally directed personnel to observe official working hours, maintain discipline and comply with public service rules, regulations and established ethical standards.<\/p>\n<p>The circular further noted: \u201cThe government appreciates the continued commitment and sacrifices of health workers and looks forward to their renewed dedication towards building a stronger, more responsive and efficient health sector in Zamfara State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also directed Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to communicate the new salary structure to affected workers, and ensure that the objectives of the review were fully implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The circular as well contains revised CONHESS basic salary scales covering different grades and steps, alongside hazard allowances for clinical and non-clinical health
