The Lion of Lufodo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The son, however, urged all social media bloggers and influencers to respect their privacy as they mourn in this time.<\/p>\n<p>He stated: \u201cWe call on all bloggers and social media influencers to respect our family\u2019s privacy at this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Life and times of late Jacobs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, MFR, born July 11, 1942, was known professionally as Olu Jacobs, was a veteran Nigerian actor and film executive.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career in the entertainment industry, starring in several British television series and international films.<\/p>\n<p><em>ConsumerConnect<\/em> gathered Vanguard Newspaper, a Nigerian daily, once described him as one of the &#8220;godfathers of Nollywood&#8221;, along with Pete Edochie.<\/p>\n<p>Trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England, Jacobs, who was married to veteran actress Joke Jacobs, had worked with various repertoire theatres in Britain and starred in some international movies.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the movies in which he starred include The Goodies, Till Death Us Do Part, Barlow at Large, The Venturers, Angels, The Tomorrow People, The Professionals, The Third Eye<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, Jacobs won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.<\/p>\n<p>He equally received the Industry Merit Award for outstanding achievements in acting at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers&#8217;
