Shares on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), the Management of the company have described the facility as &#8220;more than a refinery&#8221; but a pan-African energy platform built for global impact.<\/p>\n<p><em>ConsumerConnect<\/em> reports Mr. David Bird, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, in Lagos, stated this September 11, 2026, in connection with the oil-refining company&#8217;s much-expected Initial Public Offering (IPO).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"PTwB1CX6xw\"><p><a the Dangote Refinery IPO share price is \u20a6525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, costing total \u20a65,250.<\/p>\n<p>The landmark public offering officially opened on the Nigerian Exchange Monday, September 14, 2026, and it is scheduled to close October 13 this year.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the scope and scale of the IPO, Mr. Bird like Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President\/Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) said in a recent interview on CNN, also described the IPO as &#8220;Africa&#8217;s biggest Investment&#8221; ever.<\/p>\n<p>Dangote led the Management, investors, and some corporate titans to launch the Refinery&#8217;s total shares of 4.1 billion Ordinary Shares (with a 30 percent greenshoe overallotment option).<\/p>\n<p>Bird, Chief Executive of Dangote Refinery, also stated of the continent&#8217;s place in the global economy.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8220;Africa is no longer supplying only raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Africa is building the capacity to power the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In regard to the increased capacity of the oil-refining facility, he noted that with a 700,000-barrels-per-day (bpd) capacity, global-standard products, and a vision to scale to 1.4 million barrels per day, &#8220;the Dangote Refinery is positioning Nigeria at the centre of Africa\u2019s energy transformation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bird asserted: &#8220;This is more than a refinery.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is a pan-African energy platform built for global
