Aviation Authority (NCAA) has slammed RwandAir with N15 million fine.<\/p>\n<p><em>ConsumerConnect<\/em> reports Michael Achimugu, Spokesperson of NCAA, stated this Friday, September 11, 2026, in a provision provides for consumer protection in air travel, compensation and other remedies for passengers affected by baggage-related issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rationale for regulatory sanction against airline <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Underscoring the essence of the fine imposed on the foreign airline, Achimugu said the fine was for failing to resolve the baggage complaint within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, aside from the fine, the NCAA has directed RwandAir to replace the affected air passenger\u2019s damaged bag and pay $170 as first-need compensation.<\/p>\n<p>The sanction, he stated, underscores the importance of airlines addressing passenger complaints promptly and complying with consumer protection
