visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cNigeria harnesses $1bn public IT demand to power data cloud ecosystem\u201d \u2014 Consumer Experience Is A Top Priority\" src=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=4058&amp;embed=true#?secret=valSXS9Y9m#?secret=VpnUM8NvHm\" data-secret=\"VpnUM8NvHm\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The banking sector regulator said under the heightened supervisory focus, it would pay particular attention to terrorism financing risk management, transaction monitoring, implementation of targeted financial sanctions and the reporting of suspicious transactions linked to terrorism financing.<\/p>\n<p>The Bank said it would continue to deploy a risk-based supervisory approach, including on-site and off-site engagements, to strengthen anti-money laundering, counter-financing of terrorism and counter-proliferation financing (AML\/CFT\/CPF) controls across the financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CBN, the measures will be implemented in accordance with existing legal and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The Bankers&#8217; Bank said the move also supports Nigeria\u2019s domestic and international cooperation on counter-terrorism financing, counter-proliferation financing and broader efforts to strengthen financial integrity and protect the financial system.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted: \u201cFurther supervisory engagement will be undertaken as appropriate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Bankers&#8217;
