{"id":2205,"date":"2026-07-19T22:50:39","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T22:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=2205"},"modified":"2026-07-19T22:59:23","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T22:59:23","slug":"naseni-halilu-honours-outstanding-staff-affirms-personnel-are-driving-force-of-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=2205","title":{"rendered":"NASENI: Halilu honours outstanding staff, affirms personnel are driving force of transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>*<strong><em>Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO, at 2025 NASENI Staff Motivation and Reward Event, in Abuja, reaffirms the agency\u2019s remarkable transformation is powered by the dedication, innovation and professionalism of its workforce<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Isola Moses | ConsumerConnect<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC\/CEO) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), in Nigeria, has reaffirmed the agency\u2019s remarkable transformation is powered by the dedication, innovation and professionalism of its workforce.<\/p>\n<p>Halilu, who stated this while speaking at the 2025 NASENI Staff Motivation and Reward Event held in Abuja, FCT.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"6GxnPioXA0\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=2180\">Broadband: NCC designs wholesale fibre market guidelines for fair pricing, improved digital economy<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cBroadband: NCC designs wholesale fibre market guidelines for fair pricing, improved digital economy\u201d \u2014 Consumer Experience Is A Top Priority\" src=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=2180&amp;embed=true#?secret=2X8QfTCPHG#?secret=6GxnPioXA0\" data-secret=\"6GxnPioXA0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The EVC\/CEO of NASENI described the ceremony as more than an award presentation.<\/p>\n<p>He said it was a celebration of the people whose commitment continues to drive Nigeria\u2019s industrial and technological advancement.<\/p>\n<p>Halilu noted although the event came later than scheduled, excellence remains worthy of recognition at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Chima Akwaja, Deputy Director of Information, at NASENI, in a statement, quoted Halilu said: \u201cTonight is more than an award ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a celebration of the people behind NASENI\u2019s transformation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Behind every innovation, every partnership and every achievement are dedicated staff whose commitment has made our progress possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NASENI Executive Vice-Chairman also disclosed the agency has undergone a fundamental transformation under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>NASENI has equally repositioned itself as a performance-driven institution focused on Creation, Collaboration and Commercialisation (3Cs), stated the Chief Executive.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the 3Cs principle continue to guide NASENI\u2019s mission of developing homegrown technologies, building strategic partnerships and commercialising innovations that improve the lives of Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the agency\u2019s achievements in 2025, Halilu disclosed that NASENI has developed more than 44 commercially viable Made-in-Nigeria products, ranging from laptops and smartphones to solar irrigation pumps and electric tricycles.<\/p>\n<p>The EVC\/CEO of the market regulatory agency also revealed the ongoing construction of the 40-hectare NASENI Solar Industrial Park in Gora, Nasarawa State, which would become Africa\u2019s largest clean energy manufacturing hub.<\/p>\n<p>He also noted that through the Developing Engineering Leaders Through Her (DELT-Her) initiative, NASENI awarded over \u20a6229 million in grants to female engineers to promote innovation and expand opportunities for women.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the agency\u2019s Irrigate Nigeria Programme and Agricultural Machinery Institutes had contributed to the creation of more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, while the Agency\u2019s Zero Carbon Project and electric mobility initiatives continue to support Nigeria\u2019s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Halilu congratulated the award recipients, as he equally commended members of staff who were not recognised this year, assuring them that every contribution matters to the agency\u2019s success.<\/p>\n<p>Best Staff of the year winners from each department are: Finance &amp; Accounts, Mr. Salisu Mohammed; Technology Business Development, Engr. Dr. Abayomi Okeshola; Admin &amp; HR, Shakir Owodunni; Information, Mr.&nbsp; Asake Michael; Manufacturing Services, Engr. Odii Emmanuel; Technical Services- Engr. Mrs. Ugochi Chimaduruaku; Environmental Engineering, Engr. Aliyu Tahir Ahmed; Natural &amp; Physical Science, Mr. Usman Ahmadu; Nano Science, Dr. Mrs. Sherifat Adeleye; Research &amp; Laboratory, Miss. Anita Egar.<\/p>\n<p>The rest include:&nbsp; Procurement- Mr. Christopher Okpanachi; Planning &amp; Policy, Mrs. Ahmed Bilkisu; EVC&#8217;s Office, Barr. Lilian O. Utaka; and Audit, Mr. Abbas Suleiman. Other winners include Driver of the year- Mr. Abdullah Mohammed; Overall Staff of the Year, Barr.
