His experience will add real value to the conversations we want to have about the future of Nigeria&#8217;s creative economy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also remarked that in accepting the invitation to serve as Chairman of the occasion, Aladekomo described the summit&#8217;s theme as timely and commended QEDNG for creating a platform for meaningful conversations about the future of Nigeria&#8217;s creative economy.<\/p>\n<p>He said he looks forward to contributing to discussions that would produce practical ideas for the sector and expressed confidence that the second edition would build on the success of last year&#8217;s inaugural summit.<\/p>\n<p>Aladekomo founded Chams, in 1985, as Nigeria&#8217;s first indigenous computer maintenance company.<\/p>\n<p>Under his leadership, the company pioneered several innovations, including Nigeria&#8217;s first Wide area network on personal computers.<\/p>\n<p>He further played a key role in the development of the country&#8217;s electronic payments system through the pioneering Valucard project, and led initiatives in identity management and digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Aladekomo retired as the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Chams 2015, and became Chairman of the Board 2020.<\/p>\n<p>He also chairs SmartCity Plc, where he continues to champion technology-driven development and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Like his predecessor as Chairman of the QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit, Aladekomo is a former President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association.<\/p>\n<p>Ufot led the association from 2010 to 2012 before Aladekomo succeeded him from 2012 to 2014.
