He was aged 73.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on behalf of the family by his son, Mr. Frank Ojeifo, the educationist died in Agbede after a protracted illness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A career in teaching <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A product of Auchi Polytechnic, in Edo State, and the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Ojeifo dedicated most of his working life to teaching in secondary schools across the Edo North.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"rtb69nW6qQ\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=1480\">Konga marks 14th Anniversary with improved consumer experience, flexible payment, exciting awards<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cKonga marks 14th Anniversary with improved consumer experience, flexible payment, exciting awards\u201d \u2014 Consumer Experience Is A Top Priority\" src=\"https:\/\/consumerconnectng.com\/?p=1480&amp;embed=true#?secret=o0Yxn3dbHq#?secret=rtb69nW6qQ\" data-secret=\"rtb69nW6qQ\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shortly after his Higher School Certificate (HSC) programme, he taught at Imade College, Owo, in Ondo State, before spending much of his career at the Government Technical College, Igarra, where he shaped lives of thousands of students.<\/p>\n<p>Colleagues remembered him as a firm, articulate, and selfless teacher whose influence extended far beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A life of service, a family man <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Ojeifo, five children, three grandchildren, and two younger brothers: Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo, publisher of The Conclave online newspaper, and Mr. Kabir Eromonsele Ojeifo, a senior management staff at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), in Abuja, FCT.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018He was full of life and hope\u2019 \u2013 Tributes pour in&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>News of his passing drew heartfelt messages from family, friends, and former students.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Advocate of Nigeria and OFR honouree, Chief Oladipo Okpeseyi, recalled a final conversation with the deceased in a condolence message to Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dear Suffy, OMG, Mayor is gone? We spoke warmly a while back and the last time we saw at Owo was when he said he would soon relocate to Agbede,\u201d Okpeseyi wrote.<\/p>\n<p>He described Mayor Ojeifo as \u201cone of the seniors, bold and strong leaders we had growing up\u201d who \u201cremained very articulate and appreciative of every assistance with his signature smile always.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThough frail he was full of life and hope for a better tomorrow&#8230; He was a committed and dedicated school teacher who helped to mould future generations of leaders,\u201d Okpeseyi said.<\/p>\n<p>Also mourning, Mr. Abiodun Ogundele, an APC chieftain in Ondo State, said he was \u201cdeeply saddened\u201d by the news.<\/p>\n<p>In his condolence message to Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo, he wrote: \u201cPlease accept my sincere sympathies during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI pray that God grants his soul eternal rest in His heavenly kingdom and comforts you and your entire family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chief Tajudeen Aderibigbe, the Nene of Owo and businessman in the oil sector who was one of Ojeifo\u2019s students at Imade College, also commiserated with the family.<\/p>\n<p>He recalled his last meeting with his former teacher in Owo and how Ojeifo shaped him and other students.<\/p>\n<p>He prayed for the repose of his soul in the bosom of the Almighty God and for fortitude for the family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Legacy of a teacher&nbsp;
