Infiniti recalls 8,291 QX50 vehicles over illegible tyre and loading information

Infiniti is recalling 8,291 model year 2020 QX50 cars.

THe company stated the text of the tyre and loading information placard, including the tyre size and loading capacity, may be illegible.

It noted that illegible tyre size or loading capacity information can lead to the incorrect sized tire being installed, or its overloading, increasing the risk of a crash.

As regards what to do in rectifying the error, Infiniti will notify affected owners, and dealers will inspect the legibility of, and as necessary, replace the placard free of charge.

The current recall is expected to begin March 16, 2021.
