NCDC records 712 new COVID-19 cases, Nigeria’s total now 82,747

*Lagos and Federal Capital Territory recorded highest numbers of Coronavirus infections at 388 and 77 cases respectively, with country’s COVID-19 related deaths standing at 1,246

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 712 fresh cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections as Nigeria now has a total of 82,747 confirmed cases.

The health and disease control agency made the announcement via its verified Twitter account Friday, December 25.

According to NCDC, Lagos State and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded the highest numbers at 388 and 77 cases respectively, while Kwara State followed with 39 cases.

Others are Kwara-39, Katsina-35, Bauchi-33, Plateau-22, Ogun-18, Akwa Ibom-16, Delta-13, Kaduna-12, Osun-12, Yobe-11, Sokoto-10, Kebbi-8, Enugu-6, Edo-5, Ondo-3, Niger-2, Kano-1 and Oyo-1.

It also disclosed that COVID-19 related deaths now stand at 1,246 and 70,239 patients discharged thus far.
