Land Rover is recalling 1,285 model year 2020 Range Rover Evoque non-PHEV vehicles equipped with 18-inch wheels.

Report says that the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) recommended pressure has been set incorrectly in the instrument cluster.

Consequently, the TPMS warning light will not illuminate when tire pressure reaches 25% below the cold inflation pressure stated on the tire placard.

It was learnt that drivers may unknowingly operate the vehicle with low tyre pressure, negatively affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash.

On what to do in effecting the incorrection in the TPMS, Land Rover will notify vehicle owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin October 16, 2020.

Owners may contact Land Rover Customer Service on (800) 369-1000, and Land Rover’s number for this recall is N486.
