Gerber working closely with US Food and Drug Administration

As regards what the affected consumers should do in addressing the potential health risk, the company asked parents and caregivers who have purchased affected Arrowroot Biscuits to not feed the product to their children.

Consumers can return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a full refund, report noted.

Although no injuries or illnesses have been reported, Gerber says it is working closely with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will cooperate fully with the regulatory agency’s review.

The company also stated it is no longer working with the supplier linked to the contamination concern, according to report.

Gerber, therefore, apologised for any concern or inconvenience the recall might cause parents, caregivers, and retail customers.

He also stated: “The quality, safety, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority.”
