Tax Reforms Committee, Ombud Office collaborate for fair, responsive tax administration in Nigeria

As part of the Nigerian Government’s ongoing efforts at eliciting support for effective implementation of the tax reforms, the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee (PFPTRC) has held a constructive meeting with the Office of the Tax Ombud (OTO).

ConsumerConnect reports the Office of the Tax Ombud, in Nigeria, is an independent and impartial body established under the new tax laws to protect taxpayer rights, resolve complaints quickly and fairly, and build trust in the tax system through mediation and advocacy.

Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman, Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, disclosed this in a recent message via his verified social media account.

Oyedele said the Presidential Committee’s stakeholder engagement with the Office of the Tax Ombud focused on ensuring effective collaboration on responsive tax administration in the West African country.
