Nigerian airports reopen, domestic flights resume July 8, says Minister

The Federal Government has announced July 8, 2020, as the resumption date for domestic flights in the economy.

Hadi Sirika, Honourable Minister for Aviation, in a tweet via his verified official Twitter account night of Wednesday, July 1, stated that domestic operations would resume at the Abuja and Lagos Airports July 8.

Sirika said that operations would resume at Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri Airports on July 11, while other airports are expected to resume domestic aviation services July 15.

“I am glad to announce that Abuja & Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020.

“Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th.

“Other airports on the 15th. Date for international to be announced in due course. Bear with us, please.”
