Safety: How officials put out fire at Nigeria Police Headquarters Kano

Officials of the State Fire Service have put out the had engulfed the Bompai Headquarters of the Nigeria Police, in Kano.

ConsumerConnect learnt a fire incident had occurred earlier Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Bompai Headquarters of the Nigeria Police in Kano.

The fire, which started at about 2.00p.m. on Saturday, affected structures from the Provost’s office down to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, a quoted source stated.

The source also disclosed the fire spared the office of the State Commissioner of Police and the block of offices adjacent to the office.

However, several documents were believed to have been gutted by the inferno.

An eye-witness said that there was no report of injury or loss of life in the fire incident.

The cause of the inferno could not be ascertained as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state Fire Service and the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abdullahi Harua kiyawa, could not be reached for comment, according to report.

The fire has since been put out by officials of the State Fire Service.
