The Osinbajo Support Movement (OSM) has vigorously refuted attempts by rival presidential aspirants to smear the name of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, the Vice-President of Nigeria Friday, April 22, 2022.

The group noted that some section of the media had falsely reported that the Vice-President Osinbajo shared N250,000 each to delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ibadan, in Oyo State, during his meeting with the delegates.

Prof. Osinbajo Friday received a rousing welcome from the Oyo State APC delegates during his meeting with them.

Debunking the alleged payment of N250,000 each to Oyo APC delegates, Liberty Badmus, Convener of Osinbajo Support Movement (OSM), in a statement issued Friday said the “fake reports” were concerted to smear the name of the Vice-President.

Badmus also disclosed that the growing popularity and acceptance of the Vice-President across the six geopolitical zones have become a worrisome development to other aspirants who resorted to blackmailing and comforting lies against the vice president.

In the statement titled, “See  How  Low  They Can Go”, Badmus further said: “They were stunned by the success of Vice-President Osinbajo today (Friday), in Ibadan, during his meeting with the delegates and they had to concoct lies and resort to blackmail.

“They brought out the paper bag containing the aspirant’s literature and refreshment, put some miserable Naira notes in it and took photographs and circulate.”

The Convener of OSM further clarified: “It is not worth responding to at all as they are known to be masters at ‘Fake News’.

“While they continue to lie, Vice-President Osinbajo and his campaign team will continue to traverse the country to convince delegates to elect him as candidate of APC.”
